For the last year (++) I have been lifting weights and from that I’ve become both more strong and curvy, which I honestly feel so comfortable with. I am so happy that I’ve gotten to the stage I have, just thinking back at how I started my modeling career now seems like a completely different world to me. I am so happy for my experience through the good and the bad.
I actually start a new job on Monday – where I can still use my experience as a model, be strong and exactly how I am, and for once really understand and see a different side to the fashion industry. More of the business side and the parts behind it all. Being part of a company and a team, not just a model and a mannequin.
It’s so crazy how things work out sometimes. You really don’t know what the next day will bring until it’s here. Suddenly I have a job I really wanted and an apartment in Sydney. I’m grateful.
It’s currently 03:03am here and I have been looking at “awkward moments” videos on YouTube for too many hours now. I started off with someone singing and now I’m way past that. Time to go to bed.
It’ s also my birthday on Saturday and I have no idea what I’m doing. Dan has planned something so I’m just gonna be excited and wait ❤
I only edit my pictures on my phone, and I thought I would share my favourite apps with you. My editing always depend on the picture, and what kind of look/mood I’m going for.
I love the HUJI app, and startet using it a few months ago. I love the old look and I just think the picture ends up with so much more feeling. It’s probably the easiest way to edit your pictures, if you’re not too picky. You just choose the pictures you want to edit and they “develop”, and a few seconds later you got your pictures looking like they were taken with analog film. The edit is random, and you can also choose if you want random light effects, which I always do.
Modern & Detailed
With Lightroom I sometimes edit the highlights, contrasts and colour completely different to give the whole picture a different look. It ends up showing more details, especially if the photo was very light and unclear at first. I basically did that on the first photo, and on the second I was quite happy with the look of it (as I was standing right next to the window haha), so I only made the colours a bit stronger and edited some contrast. The good thing about Lightroom is that you can save your edits so that you can just use the same ones on other photos if that’s the vibe you’re going for. I know you can buy other’s presets (edits) as well, but I haven’t done that.
Simple & Easy
Previously I used VSCO all the time, but I actually haven’t done that in ages. I do think it’s good for quick edits if you like any of the filters on there though, and it’s also very easy to make it your own with a few changes.
So that’s basically my “go to” editing apps! I’m no pro at editing, but I do really enjoy sitting down and editing my pictures while sipping my coffee and having some random series play on Netflix, haha.
Hope you found some of it useful!
Outfit from the day I got surprised! Love the blue together.
The video from this day is actually being uploaded now, so it will be out really soon! Excited to show you guys. Dan did all the filming and has also done all the editing. Will of course let you know when it’s out, but if you want to be there to see it first just subscribe to the YouTube channel here.
Soon time to go gym now and finish up with the other video I’m doing for you guys! But first I need to unpack all my stuff, except for summer clothes. That’s gonna feel sooo good – to not live in a suitcase at home and also only packing clothes for warm weather, ah.
